Within the past year, our society here in America has gotten very political. This could be due to the outcome of the 2016 Election or just the fact that with the way how technology has adapted, we can now get the news at our fingertips, whether that be through streaming or by following certain social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook.

However, we are here to show you today just how you can follow the news on your devices. The devices we are talking about in particular are the iPhone and iPad, along with cord cutting devices such as the Apple TV.

  • CBS News: CBS provides a 24-hour livestream of their news coverage. This available on the iOS and tvOS App Stores, along with it also being available on free platforms such as Pluto TV.

  • Cheddar: This service is more of a CNBC meets Bloomberg Technology, but with much younger news anchors. The news service has one of their studios in the New York Stock Exchange building. It covers all the insights of the day’s news, but primarily focuses on technology and the everchanging stock market. Cheddar is available on their app for free, as well as livestreams provided by Twitter Video, and is featured on Pluto TV and Sling TV.

  • ABC News: Many do not know that ABC does provide a 24-hour live web news station. It’s not as sophisticated as CBS News or Cheddar, but it will tell you what you need to know in terms of the news.

  • Bloomberg: It’s very similar to CNBC, it’s free, and they’re always talking about business and technology. If you are someone who enjoys either of those two things, this would be a good station to watch.

  • Local News: NewsOn provides local news for select local stations in the United States. It is a free service and has apps available for it on the iOS and tvOS App Stores. However, it does not have every single news station available, just select partners.
